Hunting season

Our early businessmen, professionals and town fathers always took some time off in the fall to venture off on horseback out into the bush for some hunting.

In this 1912 photo, taken on Chipman Avenue by George Fink, the two men on the left beside the massive rack of horns are Bird Headley and Dr. Cook. The meat of course was always stored away in the cold room to feed hungry families over the winter.
