Greyhound needs waiting area at depot

There is no seating provided inside the bus depot for passengers waiting to catch the bus.

Dear Editor:

I am grateful that we continue to have Greyhound service through Ponoka. We have a full-service bus depot that includes selling passenger tickets, accepting outgoing and incoming freight.

Unfortunately, there is no seating provided inside for passengers waiting to catch the bus. This means you must stand and wait around the front door watching. If the bus is late, this could mean standing for perhaps 90 minutes or more. I am a regular weekly traveller on Greyhound. I am a senior with mobility issues that make it next to impossible to stand for long periods. I have seen as many as seven passengers at one time inside standing waiting. I have also seen children waiting outside in the cold for the bus.

Are passengers not important in Ponoka?
