Dear Editor,

Heads up about a potentially dangerous situation at the Tom Hamilton Memorial Sled Hill.

This Saturday we witnessed a large group of snowmobiles leave the Siding 14 Brewery and enter the toboggan park. Some of the snowmobiles were travelling at high speed and one was stunting on the hill.

We witnessed the driver climb the hill blindly where young children were sledding on the other side. He came onto the section of the hill where the children were sledding.

Although most of these snowmobilers are passing around the back of the hill, there are tracks up on the sled hill and across the front in the designated toboggan area. I have grave concerns about this behaviour, especially after they have come from the brewery.

It should have been obvious that there was a family playing at the hill, as the snowmobiles all drove right past our car to enter the park. Our children were frightened and crying as a result of today’s experience, which could easily have turned deadly.
