What were they thinking?
Whenever, I walk near the "Green Monster" (the new bridge over the River Battle) I am offended by its grotesque intrusion on the skyline. In a town not known for architectural brilliance, this comes in well below low. And to think it has been visited upon the good citizens of Ponoka for the next 50 to 100 years. Shocking.
Any first-year engineering student could have designed a simple, ground level cantilever bridge that would be easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. Instead we have an eyesore.
Since it looks like a cattle chute, could we perhaps have Vold Jones Vold take it away and then rebuild it.
