Suspect arrested after 54-year-old woman kicked and punched
A 29-year-old woman has been charged with assault after allegedly punching and kicking a 54-year-old woman on May 29 at 9 p.m. It is reported the younger woman took the keys and medication of the older lady. Police were able to arrest the suspect.
Gas and dash
Police responded to a report of a $30 gas and dash on May 28 at 8 p.m. Witnesses report a native male and a female passenger in a grey car with license plate BGY 1061, left northbound on Highway 2A after not paying for the gas.
On May 29 at 3:30 p.m. RCMP gave a 17-year-old driver a ticket for turning left unsafely after his vehicle collided with another at Highway 2A and 48 Avenue. There were no injuries in the collision.
Spray painted building
Sometime between the hours of 3 and 10 a.m. on June 2, someone spray-painted the outside of the Gold Eagle Bar and Grill with black spray paint. Police are looking for suspects.
Suspended driver caught
Police received an anonymous call of a man driving with a suspended license June 2 at noon near Ponoka. The man was driving a blue gravel truck and was also found to have outstanding warrants, he was subsequently arrested and released with a promise to appear in court. The vehicle has been seized for 30 days.
Fight at local bar
Police received a complaint that a fight between two people had caused an ATM to break. The call came in at 2 a.m. on June 3 at a downtown bar and one person was arrested for being drunk in public, but video surveillance showed the damage was unintentional.
Theft of clothes
Police are looking for two women who appear to be 30 years old for allegedly stealing clothes from a downtown store on June 3 at 4:20 p.m. One is described to have grey pants and a tan top with stripes. They drove away in a silver Chevy SUV with a partial license plate number on the vehicle being BZT.
