Ponoka RCMP looking into different theft files

Ponoka RCMP investigating theft of liquor and theft of fuel incidents.

Theft of liquor

On May 27 the Ponoka RCMP responded to a complaint of an alleged theft from the Sobeys Liquor store on Highway 2A. Police say a young First Nations man entered the Sobeys Liquor store and stole a 26 ounce bottle of Vodka.

Investigators say the suspect was wearing a black ball cap, black hoodie, tan pants and black runners. The file is currently under investigation.

Theft of fuel

On June 2 the Ponoka RCMP responded to a complaint of theft of fuel from a semi tractor parked overnight in the Co-op parking lot. Unknown suspects stole 400 litres of fuel from the truck.
