RCMP investigate armed robbery in Maskwacis

Police are looking for two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Montana Gas Bar.

Maskwacis RCMP need the public's help on information of an armed robbery Jan. 18 at the Montana Gas Bar. The suspects brandished firearms and fled.

Maskwacis RCMP are investigating an armed robbery on the Montana Reserve just north of Ponoka.

Two suspects entered the Montana Gas Bar Jan. 18 at approximately 8:50 p.m. and brandished firearms at the clerk. They demanded cash and cigarettes, say police and the two fled on foot.

It is believed they entered a dark coloured SUV. No one was injured in the incident.

Description of the suspects:

Suspect 1:

- Tall / slender

- Red hoody

- Ball cap and mask

- Gloves

- Black sneakers with white on bottom.

Suspect 2:

- Tall / heavy set

- White long sleeve shirt

- Blue saggy jeans

- "Halloween" type mask

- Gloves

There have been several armed robberies in central Alberta over recent weeks with Ponoka also having to deal with an armed robbery at the Royal Hotel on Jan. 7.
