A fire that set a motor home in Riverside ablaze from an unknown cause on Sunday morning was quickly extinguished by the Ponoka County Regional Fire Services East District.
The call came in at 9:36 a.m. on June 13 and department members had the flames out in 11 minutes, according to protective services manager Donna Noble.
The motor home was parked in the front driveway of a residence on the east side of town when it caught fire. The cause is still under investigation.
The heat from the motor home damaged an SUV that was also parked in the driveway.
Although there were occupants in the motor home and the residence and the time, all were evacuated safely and there were no injuries.
“Unfortunately there was a fire, but at least there were no injuries,” said Noble.
