Agnes “Mary” Stewart
On September 27, 2010 Mrs. Agnes “Mary” Stewart of Ponoka passed away at the age of 91 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her family: son Earl (Kathy) of Grande Cache and grandchildren Karen (Tim) and Tracey (Kelly); son Ken (Lynne) of Marathon, Ontario and grandchildren Brad (Cathy), Kelly, David (Wendy), Ron (Elaine), Sean (Heather), Natalie, Richard (Debbie), Eric and Joanne (Mike); son Gordon (Doreen) of Ponoka and grandchildren Cory (Miranda) and Jody (Rob); daughter Lucille of Edmonton and grandchildren Tania (Dean) and Carlene (Bryan); 31 great-grandchildren; siblings Harold Donaghy of Calgary, Phyllis Carmichael of Lacombe, Marvin Donaghy (Rosa) of Red Deer and Rhea Terre of Pincher Creek; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Sam in 1989; her parents Roy and Agnes Donaghy; sister Faye Dewhirst (Bert); and brothers Cecil (Phyllis), Hugh and Melvin Donaghy;; sister-in-law Freda Donaghy; and brothers-in-law Paul Carmichael and John Terre. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Ponoka First Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 with Pastor Paul Spate officiating. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Dakota Cemetery Fund.
