Audrey Frances Wheeler

Audrey Frances Wheeler was born in Lacombe, Alberta on November 1, 1930 and passed away in Toronto, Ontario on May 31, 2017. After completing her schooling at Morningside and Ponoka, she moved to Toronto, where she worked for Kimberly-Clark until her retirement. She loved to travel and visited may places throughout the world. She also returned to Alberta and B.C. every summer to visit family and friends. After retirement, Audrey volunteered for charitable organizations; she spent most of her volunteer hours at the MS Society of Canada, work for which she was honoured with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Frances and Sydney Wheeler, her brother and his wife, Roger and Rosemary Wheeler, and her sister and her husband Valerie and John Wiens. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews, and thirteen great, great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the Ponoka Cemetery on July 28 at 11 am. Everyone who knew Audrey is welcome to attend.
