1915 - 2010
David Ross Baptist of Ponoka, Alberta was born on August 25, 1915 on a farm at Vanscoy, Saskatchewan and passed away at the Wetaskiwin Health Centre on September 1, 2010 at the age of 95 years. David leaves to mourn his wife of 71 years, Mabel; children Isabell (Merle), Jeannette (Cecil) and Ross (Cynthia); eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Dorothy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father, great-granddaughter Kasaundra, two sisters and one brother. A Service of Remembrance was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Beatrix Schirner officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta.
