Doris June Wagner (nee Northcott)

passed on to her final home on

July 29, 2017 at the age of 96 years.

Born June 1, 1921 to Harold Chester

Northcott and Johan Robina Northcott

(nee Murrison) in the Rutherford

District north of Tees. Doris grew up in the Clive and Ponoka area. She was married to Oscar Wagner in 1940 and began her life on the farm. Doris loved raising a garden and preserving it, and loved picking berries in the wild. She also loved classical music, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and could make a delicious meal out of nothing. Doris is survived by her son, Gordon (Sharon) of Clive, AB; daughters, Marylee (Everett) Simanton of Ponoka, AB, and Holly (Arnie) Stella of Lethbridge, AB; ten grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her sister-in-law, Marion Northcott; numerous nephews and nieces; and many good friends. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Oscar; brother, Jack; and son, Sidney. She loved all the activities

her family took part in and particularly loved to watch a good baseball or hockey game. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all of

Doris's caregivers at the Northcott Care Centre and Ponoka Hospital. A Celebration of Doris's Life will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe, AB on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the
