Enid Wynne Vold

The life of Enid Vold (nee Jones) began on March 15, 1930 and came to a peaceful end on September 15, 2017 when she entered into eternal rest in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ.

Enid spent her childhood years growing up on the family farm east of Ponoka. She attended the Magic School and went to high school in Lacombe before becoming a teacher and finding a job at the Alix School.

In 1957 Enid found the love of her life when she married Roy Vold. In the love department, the herd of Hereford cows which came along with Roy were a close second as well as anything else to do with animals or nature.

Enid attended Asker Lutheran Church for many years, teaching Sunday school and serving in the ELW. In later years her interest in history and genealogy had her collecting local history books from all over the province and spending many hours researching the family tree.

Enid leaves to mourn her husband of 60 years Roy Vold and her sons Vincent (Patti) and Wesley (Lynn) Vold. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tyler (Janelle), Kelly, Tovah (Martin), Kyle (Nicena), Maren, Valerie, David, Judite, Bethany, Matthew, Daniel and Rachel as well as great-grandchildren Danae, Aimee, Karlin, Hailey, Cyrus and Joseph Vold and Uriah and Ansen Bauer. Enid is also survived by her brother Hugh Jones and sister Jean (Trent) James.

Suggestions for memorial donations are to the Asker Cemetery or HCAS (Haitian Children's Aid Society, hcas.ca).

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home with the Interment to follow at the Asker Cemetery (followed by lunch

at Asker Lutheran Church).
