It is with heavy hearts but on a joyous note that we announce the graduation of Iris Martha Swanson into glory on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the age of 93. Iris was born to Cecil and Lois Petry on July 7, 1923 near Bentley, AB. Iris lived in the Ponoka area all her life. Iris is survived by Fred Swanson, her loving husband of 68 years. She was predeceased by her younger brother Ron Petry in 2003. Iris leaves to mourn her passing her brother George (& Pat) Petry of Calgary, her children Buck (& Marianne) Swanson, Lois (& Dave) Hilsabeck, Melody (& Dan) Casselman, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her nieces, nephews, church family and many loyal friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Church of the Open Bible located at 3704 42 St. Ponoka, AB.
