Phyllis Slater was born on September 30, 1935 in Athabasca, Alberta and passed away on August 2, 2010 in Ponoka at the age of 74 years. She is lovingly remembered by her son Robert and his wife Rhonda; their children Kelsey and Savannah all of Ponoka; grandchildren Kyle Friesen of Lacombe and Austin Slater of Ponoka; brother Harry (Peg) Peterson of Ponoka; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Floyd, daughter Ellen and son Doug. A Service to celebrate Phyllis’s life was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Robin King officiating. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka FCSS.
