The Ponoka 4-H District had its first meeting Oct. 22 and members are excited about the upcoming year. Some of the events approaching quickly are the multispecies judging at the ag event centre, a public speaking and presentations workshop and a Regional Fun Day.
Members are also looking forward to the Gord Bamford concert Nov. 15 at the Lakedell Agricultural Centre.
In the new year 4-Hers will look forward to a District Fun Day, and public speaking competitions. Members should already be hard at work on their speeches as public speaking is coming up rather quickly.
We hope to have a fun and successful year while still learning to do by doing.
