On Oct. 19 due to the beautiful weather, we had a ride out at the Dude Ranch. Special thanks to Dwayne Pugh for leading the ride and letting us use the Dude Ranch grounds. We rounded up the day by having a weiner roast and visiting and getting to know our new members. A lot of fun was had by all.

On Nov. 5 we took the bus to the CFR. 13 members, parents and siblings went and had a lot of fun and saw some great action.

Special thank-you to Ponoka Travel for giving us a great deal on the tickets.

The next day we had our meeting at Vic Almond’s arena and picked our committees. On Nov. 12, a vet information evening was held at Ponoka Composite High School.

A special thank you to Dr. Larry Frifchke and Dr. Zoe Wagenar for all the valuable information. On. Nov. 23 we weighed our horses. Some members weighed at Vold, Jones, Vold Auction Mart and some weighed at Jonust Farms. Afterward, the leaders and some of the older members taught us how to do the vitals on our horses. Thanks to Shayne Pugh for all her help with teaching the younger members and Christal for teaching the older ones. Due to cold weather, our Dec. 13 clinic was cancelled. On Dec. 14, we volunteered at the Family Christmas Tea which was held at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury.
