Ponoka Kinsmen held their annual fundraising auction

The event brought all of Ponoka’s movers and shakers to the Ponoka Legion

Emergency crews attended a collision between a semi and an SUV Feb. 27 on Highway 2A across from the Calnash Ag Event Centre. Details are not clear but it appears the SUV drove into the northbound lane and collided with the semi. Injuries are believed to be relatively minor. The money represents funds collected by the Community Market in November and December 2018. In lieu of rent for the town facilities in which it holds its markets, the Community Market donates all funds from vendor table rentals to the town, which in turn donates them to PARCS to fund future recreation facilities in Ponoka.
