Businesses in the Town of Ponoka have until Dec. 31, to renew their business licences for the 2023 year.
Renewal notices are currently being mailed to all local businesses, the town stated in a press release.
Businesses that operate, provide or sell a product or service within or partially within the Town of Ponoka corporate boundaries are required to have a valid Ponoka business licence and renew it annually under the town’s New Business Licence Bylaw.
Approved business licences for the 2022 year will expire on Dec. 31, 2022.
When renewing a business licence, provide any changes in business information, such as:
• A change of business location;
• Contact information; and/or
• A change in ownership.
Notification of all changes should be provided in writing by emailing permits@ponoka.ca.

If you are a new business in Ponoka, you can apply for a business licence by visiting the Town website at www.ponoka.ca.
You can also visit the Town Office on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre (5604-50 Street) to apply for a business licence in person.
