Bowling raises thousands

The Big Brothers Big Sisters held their annual Bowl-a-Thon Feb. 22 and raised $18,767 with some pledges still to be tallied.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters held their annual Bowl-a-Thon Feb. 22 and raised $18,767 with some pledges still to be tallied.

First place for team costume went to the Ponoka Elementary School with their fancy cakes and the Rowland Grandkids — Serge, Avery and Baily — won for best youth costume with their old fashioned look. Domino’s Pizza raised the most funds of $1,267.

Individuals who raised the most were:

• Susan Whitecotton, $585.

• Best youth, Tommy Malcolm, $381.

• Online was Jennifer Hindley.
