For the first time the Friends of Crestomere School Club will be hosting a spaghetti dinner and silent and live auction on April 12 at Lincoln Community Hall.

The event is for adults and the money raised will be donated to Crestomere School Council to be used for school-encouraged projects such as sporting events and activities, library enhancement and other events.

The Crestomere School Council also offers a bursary to students graduating from Ponoka Composite High School.

Melissa Hubert, fundraising committee member trusts that the dinner and auction will provide for a good time for all who come.

“It will be a fun evening,” she said. “I think a lot of adults will be happy to have an evening out and we’re hoping that it will go over well.”

Hubert encourages more items to be donated to this event and believes that the school will benefit from the money raised.

“It’s a small rural school and any bit of support from the community is really appreciated and needed,” she said.
