The Ponoka district held their multi-species judging at the Lantin Ranch just outside of Rimbey on Jan. 31. It was an amazing turn out with 43 members attending.

The weather permitted and the event ran smoothly. We judged chickens, horses, gloves, and photos. We also had a memory station and a station where we identified the parts of the sheep, the cow, and the horse.

This event would not be possible without all our judges, volunteers and organizers.

It was refreshing to see some friendly faces and meet new faces after a couple of years apart. At the end of the afternoon, we had a snack and visited while judges added up their scores. After that they announced the winners.

Cleavers: First place- Kenna Vermette (Bluffton); Second place - Kaity Hofmann (Rimbey). Juniors: First place - Jordyn Miller (Bluffton); Second place - Paisley Krause (Crestomere); Third place - Archer Wagner (Crestemere).

Intermediate: First place - Bailey Krause (Crestomere); Second place - Cali Hofmann (Rimbey); Third place - Carson Frank (Crestomere).

Seniors: First place -Teresa Cutts (Crestomere); Second place - Charlotte Cutts (Crestomere); Third place - Morgan Wilson (Bluffton).

Thank you to everyone who came out and shared the afternoon with us. We hope to see you all next year.
