On Sunday, Jan. 16, the East Ponoka 4H beef club held the first meeting of 2022. We discussed our upcoming public speaking, mini show and plans for the achievement day and sale. After the meeting we had a hotdog roast. Then we began our calf tour and during which we saw the steers belonging to all of our 4H members.
The next event to come is the mid-season weigh in which will take place on Jan. 29 at VJV. It will be nice to see the progress of all of our steers. Our public speaking competition will take place on Feb. 6 so we have all been practising our speeches.
The final event for our club is the achievement day and sale from May 1 to 3 at the Calnash Ag Event Centre. We welcome all buyers and supporters of 4H to come and check out the projects that we’ve been working hard on all year long.
