Local economic developers recognized for excellence

Three economic development organizations in central Alberta have been recognized for their efforts in attracting and retaining businesses.

The Economic Developers Association of Alberta presented awards of excellence to Red Deer Regional Economic Development, Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP), of which Ponoka and Rimbey are members, and the Olds Institute for Community and Regional Development during a recent awards banquet in Kananaskis.

Red Deer Regional Economic Development received an award for special events, programs or campaigns in the large community category, Central Alberta Economic Partnership was rewarded for creative innovations, and the Olds Institute for Community and Regional Development was recognized for social media in a marketing campaign among small communities.
