Family Day promises to be an action-packed day of fun for the whole family this Monday.
Along with skating along the new trail in Centennial Park, there will be face painting at the Fort Ostell Museum from noon to 3 p.m. and hay rides from 1 to 3 p.m.
And for the hungry kids there will be hot dogs and hot chocolate from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
But don’t let that cool you off; Family Day festivities continue at the Ponoka Aquaplex with a free family swim from 2 to 4 p.m.
Sledding at Tom Hamilton Memorial Hill
There will also be tobogganing at the Tom Hamilton Memorial Hill from 1 to 3 p.m. with free hot dogs and hot chocolate sponsored by the Ponoka Kinsmen Club.
The hil is located just west of Siding 14 Brewery on 36 Avenue in the Froman Industrial Park.
Gymnastics drop in
The Ponoka Gymnastics and Trampoline Club will host a free drop-in from 1 to 4 p.m. at their facility located at 5008 – Highway 2.
Organizers ask those interested in taking part in the Centennial Park activities bring a Ponoka Food Bank donation to the park. Activities will be moved to the Arena if weather is inclement.
