Mayor Tough Enough to Wear Pink

Town of Ponoka Mayor Larry Henkelman singed a proclamation to declare June 29 ‘Breast Health Awareness Day.’ It encourages cowboys, cowgirls, wagon drivers, volunteers and fans to be ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink’ to increase the awareness of breast cancer. Mayor Henkelman is holding a special pink guitar with the Tough Enough To Wear Pink logo and the Ponoka Stampede Association logo that will be given away during the chuckwagon races on June 29.

People will be able to put their name in a draw at the booth in front of the grandstand at the breast health booth. The guitar will be on display at the booth and at the pancake breakfast on June 28.
