New Ag scholarship

The Ponoka Agriculture Society has announced that they will be giving out two $500 scholarships.

The Ponoka Agriculture Society has announced that they will be giving out two $500 scholarships.

“It benefits our youth, who we work with all the time,” said president of the Ag Society Sherry Gummow. “We want to recognize the important of trades people in our community.”

The scholarship is for any graduating Grade 12 student entering an apprenticeship or trades program, a post secondary institution, college or university program and the program must benefit agriculture. The students must live in the County of Ponoka and East of the fifth meridian.

The Ponoka Agriculture Society is a non-profit organization, which has been in the community for more than 100 years.
