On July 26, many friends, family and legion dignitaries met at the Ponoka Legion for cake and coffee to celebrate Hugh Green’s 100th birthday.
There was a surprise visit from local MP Blaine Calkins who presented Green with a congratulatory certificate and two pins: one from the coronation of King Charles III and and Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee.
