Flight raffle winner: The winner of the Ponoka Legion’s raffle for a flight above Ponoka was Helmut Wessel. Wessel went up in a Canada-built Harvard plane (one of the last series built in 1952) on Nov. 3. The raffle was to raise funds for the Legion as well to experience what it was like for a pilot that was training during WWII.
