Expansion ready for winter: The Ponoka County East District Fire Hall is undergoing a major expansion with almost two thirds additional space being developed. This photo is taken from the south end of the new space, which will allow fire and rescue trucks to exit out of the west side of the building. The extra space will allow the department much needed room now that it also operates as the department for the Town of Ponoka. It’s expected the expansion will be ready by the winter.
