Food drive: Ponoka News’ Almost Midnight Madness food drive collected 410 lbs of non-perishable food items for the Ponoka Food Bank, as well as $137 in cash donations. Pictured here, Ponoka News publisher Judy Dick, right, presents the cash donations to Violet Smith from the food bank. At this time, the food bank is most in need of staple items such as soup, canned tomatoes, cookies and toilet paper, and any other food items and essentials — even diapers can be donated.
