Ethel Lewis Gardner of Ponoka celebrated her 100th birthday with her family on Aug. 31.
Gardner was born in the Wood River district east of Ponoka and has lived in and around Ponoka her entire life, where she raised three sons: Blaine, Ken and Garnet Lewis.
