The Singer Sewing Machine Company has been in business since 1851 and quickly became the best friend of millions of ladies to perform all sorts of magic creations and patch-up jobs around busy homes for countless decades. This classic 1923 Model, which was manufactured in Elizabeth, New Jersey is now on display at the Fort Ostell Museum in Ponoka, and was used for many years in the sewing room of the Provincial Mental Hospital to make all the nursing uniforms as well as patient’s clothing.
