Fun skate: The small rink at the Ponoka Culture and Recreation Complex was filled with skaters and a few playing tag with some Ponoka Stampeders players at the Canada 150 free skating day Dec. 10. The event, which also included shinny outdoors, a bonfire and free cake, was hosted in recognition of the Canada 150 infrastructure grant that helped pay for upgrades to the recreation complex.
