The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train rolled into town for a live concert Dec. 8.
The concert featured musicians Tenille Townes and Indigenous artist Aysanabee.
Ponoka Mayor Kevin Ferguson said a few words as the CP Holiday Train donated $4,000 to the Ponoka Food Bank.
The CP Holiday Train is free to attend and supports food banks across Canada. Attendees were encouraged to bring a cash or non-perishable food donation for the Ponoka Food Bank.
Hand warming stations were be available during the event, courtesy of the Ponoka County Regional Fire Services East District Fire Department.
The fireworks display, sponsored by the Town of Ponoka and Ponoka County, is kicking off at approximately 5:30 p.m.
