Ponoka’s long-standing Good Friday tradition, the Walk of the Cross, where community members of several different Christian denominations reflect on the death of Jesus Christ, was held on April 7.
The group of close to 40 participants made their way through downtown Ponoka, making several stops to say prayers along the way.
“The weather cooperated and God was looking down on us,” said Deacon Rollie Comeau, St. Augustine Catholic Parish.
