Victory and liberation: The 75 tulips planted at Ponoka Secondary Campus, which were a gift from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, have bloomed, right in time to mark the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands and Victory in Europe Day.

Victory and liberation: The 75 tulips planted at Ponoka Secondary Campus, which were a gift from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, have bloomed, right in time to mark the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands and Victory in Europe Day. The Liberation of the Netherlands is a public holiday in the Netherlands that celebrates the end of Nazi occupation on May 5, and Victory in Europe Day is on May 8, which commemorates the Allies’ official acceptance of Germany’s unconditional surrender.
