Pink Sunday to benefit Breast Cancer Foundation

Mark your calendars for March 15 because at 2 p.m. an afternoon of fun, fashion and fundraising will be taking place at Moose Hall.

The event titled “Pink Sunday” is a breast cancer fundraising fashion show featuring new spring fashions from Steel Magnolias, along with exercise and sleepwear from Busted Ladies Lingerie. Door prizes, raffle draws and a light lunch will be included as well.

The highly anticipated event is being hosted by Red Deer College students Holly Prediger, Amber Hall, Nicole Masson and Melissa Schiebelberin as part of their events management course in the business administration program offered at the institute. They are looking forward to the afternoon of entertainment that is ultimately supporting a wonderful purpose.

“This project gives us experience and gets the community involved in an event raising money for a great cause,” said student and event organizer Holly Prediger before mentioning that net proceeds from ticket sales and other fundraising initiatives will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. “Breast Cancer is a disease that has unfortunately touched everyone in some type of way. By participating in Pink Sunday, we can help show our support for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of creating a future without breast cancer,” she said.

Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at Steel Magnolias and Busted.
