Due to COVID-19, we have been limited with which programs we can do this year. However we are going to do our horn measuring event that has been requested by several members of the public. Because of the social distancing things will be slower getting everyone’s horns measured. Ray is making up the program and there will be someone at the door to explain how things will be done when the public arrives. This will be the first Sunday of December starting at 10am. See you there.

A couple of years ago our second vice president Ken Sheehan passed away. Recently his wife Robin had a couple of purple martin nesting boxes built and they were installed by Ron Rarrick and his son around the Ponoka Fish and Game clubhouse. Purple martins were Ken’s passion.

Even though it has been a very trying year due to COVID-19, our memberships have held up very well. As of our last meeting in the first part of November, our membership total had reached 715. We feel this is very good under the circumstances.

Members of the public have been asking if we are ever going to have our award banquet in February, 2021 as usual. As of now we do not know, as we have to wait and see how things go. Unfortunately this not is a very definitive answer, but it is all we have to say for now.

Our nominations for club officers will begin at our December meeting. Any member in good standing is welcome to let their name stand for office. Our meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month and all are invited to attend.
