Ponoka’s Community Growing Project harvest coming up

The Ponoka Community Growing Project’s 24th harvest will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, weather permitting.

The Ponoka Community Growing Project’s 24th harvest will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, weather permitting.

Lunch will be provided, starting at 1 p.m., followed by combining the 155 acres of Canola. Everyone is welcome.

The field is located six miles north of the Ponoka Secondary Campus on Range Road 254.

All proceeds go towards the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

Canadian Foodgrains Bank is a partnership of 15 Canadian Churches and church-based agencies working together to end global hunger and support food security. Food security is when all people have regular access to enough nutritious food to lead healthy and active lives.
