Remember When:

This magnificent photo features the 1954 Ponoka Stampede Parade going down 50 Avenue in front of the usual packed crowds, with the Ladies of the Royal Purple Lodge float being pulled by the trusty John Deere tractor, and all celebrating the gala 50 Anniversary of the Town of Ponoka. Some of us can still remember some of those great old buildings, which are left to right, Percy Wilkin’s Ponoka Furniture Store, Bud Grant’s Fine Food Restaurant, and the Imperial Bank of Commerce.
