This 1937 Half-Way Grove girls’ fastball team was very competitive in Ponoka Town and County leagues during our long and hot summers. Shown in the photo from left are: Alice Wierzba, Julia Doran, Nettie Unland, unknown, Jane Wierzba, Mary Tiltgen, Ann Doran, Laura Doran, Inez Graham, and Sarah Bjorkland with Coach Bill Doran in the back. Notice the nifty early uniforms, complete with shorts and ties.
