Remember When? Those who have lived in and around Ponoka over the years have quickly learned never to take our lazy old Battle River for granted, especially in the spring. The top photo, shot in the Riverside district shows the flood of believed to be from 1948, and then the lower picture is where the new north bridge now stands and is believed taken in the 1920s. In both cases the taxi and the horse and wagon were attempting to take shift workers from the Alberta Hospital back and forth to high ground.
