Remember When? The hunting was fabulous in the rolling countryside around Ponoka in the very early days, which was vital, because there were many new pioneers with big families to feed and store away supplies for the long and cold Alberta winters. In this photo shotgun artist Martin Bednar of the Seafield district displays the results of an afternoon of hunting, which included 36 assorted prairie chicken and ruffed grouse (partridge) and one rabbit.
