Located southwest of Ponoka near Gee’s gravel pit, the ‘sunken bridge’ may be one of Ponoka County’s best kept secrets. It was originally a cement structure with culverts that many years ago slowly sunk below the water of the tranquil Battle River.
As well as an ideal and traditional spot for fishing and a few parties, the ‘sunken bridge’ is also great for simply setting out the lawn chairs, relaxing, and enjoying nature.
