The finalists have been selected for the Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce awards and the best way to know who won will be to go to the awards.
Set for Oct. 21 at the Kinsmen Community Centre, the fun night — themed Simply the Best — will bring the best businesses, businesspeople, not for profits and service people of the year together for a night of celebration, explained Les Jaster, executive manager for the chamber.
“Our theme is Simply the Best,” explained Jaster. “We get to display simply the best at our awards this year.”
Nominations and voting were slightly up this year, he added, offering that quite a few new and first time nominations were entered.
Jaster said that the evening will be a fun night of festivities, food and games with prizes, but added that it is also a time to recognize those businesses and individuals for their dedication.
“It’s a time to acknowledge businesses and the good things they do for Ponoka and district,” said Jaster.
