St. Thomas Aquinas Roman (STAR) Catholic School Division is excited to announce the launch of its new innovative, mobile device-responsive and user-friendly website to better serve parents, students and staff across the school division.

The new site creates an easy and enjoyable experience for web visitors.

The site features: easy-to-access bus status notifications, quick links to STAR Catholic career opportunities, calendars, and student registration, prominent placement of ongoing important STAR Catholic information, an updated stream of STAR Catholic news and calendar events, connection to STAR Catholic social media, and all the information about the Division and Board of Trustees through the easy-to-find menu bar.

The site is also mobile friendly, as it will adapt to the device viewed on, allowing smartphone or mobile device users a seamless website experience and access to STAR Catholic information.

“This change is really about our stakeholders. It’s about parents, students and staff and creating a better online experience for each and every one of them,” said Dr. Troy Davies, Superintendent. “But at the same time, this website redesign has given us the opportunity to create a website that visually, truly speaks to the innovative, dynamic and vibrant school division that STAR Catholic is.”

STAR Catholic’s 11 schools have also received a redesign to the local school websites, and are also mobile responsive to better serve local students, families and communities.

“We are ecstatic about this change across the school division,” said Davies. “These new websites will boost our schools’ ability to communicate and the ability of parents and students to stay connected.”

The websites, from the Division site to the school sites, become a one-stop-hub for school and Division information, from bus status updates to important notices to celebrating student and staff achievement. Users will find it easy to remain up-to-date about their schools, through social media integration, fresh content and ongoing updates.

The site went live June 6.
