James is 17 years old and is presently involved in the home schooling program. Keeping a very high academic grade is something James has maintained throughout his schooling and is always willing to help his fellow students. James has been involved in the Ponoka gymnastic club since he was five-years old and now he has also taken on being a coach for the younger members. Last year James worked very hard and achieved his National Coaching Certification - Level one Instructor in Gymnastics. Also in the community James has been a cabin leader for the Silver Birch Bible Camp for two summers, a junior Church leader at the Ponoka Baptist First Church. James has shown a real concern for people less fortunate and has participated in four mission trips, where he has assisted with constructing houses for the very poor and needing in both Honduras and Mexico. He also has a strong concern for the health issues of these folks and has learned the art of installing bio sand filters and worked on the water well projects. He has also taken the challenge on to fundraise for the World Water Summit project to provide clean water to homes in third world countries. James is truly a role model to others; his sincere passion for to help others is truly inspiring.
