The producers of the Discovery Channels hit television show ‘Canada’s Worst Handyman’ are coming to Ponoka in hopes of finding handymen and women who need a 101 class in tool handling or training.

Proper Television, which is the company behind the series, is accepting nominations for handymen and women from Ponoka. Each application is considered in the quest to find handy-challenged people in the country.

A team from Proper Television will be in the area to meet with those who have gained their interest. The producers are looking at Ponoka because in its four seasons has never had a handyman from Ponoka and is focused on finding someone from a different part of the country.

The goal of the television show is to fix the skills of the handymen and women and help their family and friends by improving the knowledge and skills of the individual.

Those who are chosen will be jetted to Ontario to their training centre for a hands-on do-it-yourself rehab and will focus on plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, etc.

To nominate someone e-mail handyman@propertelevision.com or call 1-866-598-2591.
