Staff and patients at the Ponoka General Hospital long-term care are receiving new and improved care thanks to a donation from the Ponoka Hospital and Care Auxiliary Association.

A co-operative is a store where merchandise and services are sold to members, who also share in the profits and losses according to the amounts that they buy.

An impressive bottle drive fundraiser on April 11 has brought Mecca Glen School one step closer to achieving their goal to raise enough money for new computers for the Mecca Glen Community Learning Centre.

Between April 13 and 20 we members of the Ponoka RCMP detachment found ourselves running around trying to find all of our winter clothing and boots that we’d packed away (apparently) too early.

The Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce had their general meeting at the Old Iron Horse restaurant on April 15.

On April 13, between 10:30 and 11 p.m. Ponoka Composite High School was vandalized. Unknown suspects broke into the equipment shed at PCHS and took javelins and golf clubs. They proceeded to the roof of the high school where they broke the windows of the General Purpose room and broke the window of the school’s front door.
